We are proud to feature the 16th Annual Legacy Hall of Fame Awards Dinner as part of this NAACP CA/HI State Convention’s programming. This year, we are proud to recognize renowned civil rights attorney John L. Burris as this year’s Legacy Hall of Fame honoree. For more than four decades, renowned civil rights attorney John L. Burris has been a leading voice for justice and police accountability, representing more than 1,000 individuals, including in notable cases involving Rodney King, Tupac Shakur, and Oscar Grant, while helping shape police misconduct law and advance meaningful law enforcement reforms.
