“Rev. Jethroe “Jeff” Moore II’s legacy and impact touched the lives of many, both in and outside the community of San Jose. A true freedom fighter, he faced adversity head-on and never backed down from the fight for justice. He played a pivotal role in advocating for police accountability and racial equity in housing, employment, and education. When Rev. Moore spoke, people listened, and his presence was always felt.
It’s truly hard to lose a fraternal brother, one of your closest friends, a brother in the movement, and a brother in faith. I know that he would want us to celebrate his memory by fighting even harder. I plan to do just that and hope his legacy will continue to guide and inspire us in our ongoing pursuit of justice.”
– Rick L. Callender, President, NAACP California-Hawaii State Conference
