California Hawaii State Conference of the NAACP Annual Legislative Day at the Capitol (Lobby Day)
May 17, 2021 | Sacramento, California
Each year, the California – Hawaii NAACP (CA-HI NAACP), sponsors a lobby day to encourage civic participation of our local branches through direct engagement in the legislative process.
This event lasts for a full day, where members (including youth) receive training, participate in mock lobbying activities and end their day lobbying actual legislators and their staff about the CA-HI NAACP legislative priorities.
The CA-HI NAACP is committed to advocating legislative reform in areas that are critical to improving the lives of African Americans and low-income people.
We advocate for policy reforms that increase equal opportunities and against punitive laws that disproportionately affect African Americans.
