July President’s Message

July President’s Message

As we approach Independence Day, we are reminded that freedom, equality, and justice require our continued commitment and action. As America approaches its 250th anniversary, we have an opportunity to reflect on our nation’s progress while recognizing the work that remains. From the fight to end slavery to the advancement of civil and voting rights, each generation has helped move our country closer to its founding promise of liberty and justice for all.

Today, challenges to civil rights, voting access, economic opportunity, environmental justice, and educational equity remind us that the pursuit of justice is ongoing. Let us honor those who came before us by recommitting ourselves to the principles of democracy, equality, and service, ensuring that future generations inherit a nation that more fully reflects its highest ideals.

I look forward to seeing you in  Chicago for the 117th NAACP National Convention. The convention is always an opportunity to celebrate our achievements, learn from one another, and strengthen our collective efforts to advance justice and protect the rights of all people.

See you in Chicago!

Yours in the Fight,

Dr. Rick L. Callender, Esq.
